After three-packed days, Industrial Automation Beijing 2017 drew to a close with great triumph at Beijing Exhibition Center on May 12, 2017. As the most influential industrial automation event in Northern China, this year’s show attracted a strong lineup of 210 leading enterprises within a display area of 23,000 sqm, showcasing cutting-edge products and technologies under six display sections including control technology, machinery infrastructure, sensor and connector, robots and robot accessories, digital factory and application park. 85 buyer delegations up to 2,212 people paid their visits, contributing to a total visit number up to 18,147, a 3.2% increase compared with last year.

Industrial Pioneers Making Practical Showcases
A strong lineup of 210 leading enterprises from Germany, South Korea, the Netherlands, the United States, Japan, Switzerland, Turkey, Singapore, Italy, Israel, Denmark and China Taiwan made their presence. Main exhibitors included Phoenix , Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff, Turck, IFM, Cognex, ELCO, Eplan, Weidmueller, Pilz, Hilscher, Hiwin, Elmo, KOYO, NB China, Schmalz, Autonics, Schmersal, Bernstein, Pentair, Dongan, YOUNGSUN, Han's Motor, Moons’, Hongfa.
Global electronic engineering front runner, Phoenix introduced a brand new technology, PLCNext Technology at the show stage. Industrial automation innovator, Turck set up a unique smart factory experiencing center, highlighting various quality products through interesting showcases. Machine vision pacesetter, Cognex brought three new products with innovative technology in the field. Other key players such as Pilz, Schmersal, Bernstain, Captron and WIBU all had sparkling highlights.
Application Park Building Industrial Application Platform
As a perfect display platform where the supply meets the demand, Industrial Automation Beijing 2017 launched Application park for automation products for the first time, inviting leading industrial enterprises to deliver speeches on four hot topics including automobile manufacturing, intelligent packaging, agricultural machinery manufacturing and smart city, promoting the upgrading and transformation of manufacturers by jointly exploring the intelligent manufacturing applications and solutions.
Hilscher, the global industrial network communications expert, shared its latest cloud communication solutions in the automobile manufacturing session. Pilz, Schmalz and Cognex made their presence in the intelligent packaging session, bringing totally different inspirations for packaging production line. Nanda Automation Technology delivered insightful speech in the smart city session. Other industrial pioneers also shared solid industrial knowledge on the site, bringing spectacular and inspirational performances.
Digital Factory Drawing Wide Attentions
Digital factory has gained increasing attentions from enterprises as a vital system which protects the manufacturing process. In response to this demand, this year’s show introduced digital factory show of the global manufacturing technology benchmark, HANNOVER MESSE. The first debut of Digital Factory in Industrial Automation Beijing 2017 brought the top-notch industrial technology and showcased the integrated solutions which control the manufacturing process through a series of means including integration, simulation, analysis and control.
Siemens PLM introduced its MOM, the specialized software for manufacturing operation management. ELCO focused on IoT, informationization and automation, showcasing IoT ecology system and industrial Internet products in a vivid way. Rockwell, one of the biggest companies dedicated to informationization and industrial Internet globally, displayed its Internet infrastructure solutions, altogether creating a fabulous Digital Factory feast.
Concurrent Events Interpreting Intelligent Manufacturing
The most significant concurrent event, 2017 International Intelligent Manufacturing Conference was held on the first day of the show. Mr. Miao Wei, Minister of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology made his presence and delivered a keynote speech on “Further Promote the Intelligent Manufacturing, and Foster the New Motivation for Economic Development”. More than 500 representatives from 300 organizations including intelligent manufacturing enterprises, scientific research institutes, college and universities, media journalists attended the Conference. Afterwards, Mr. Miao Wei visited the show and expressed his praise and expectation towards Industrial Automation Beijing.
Other professional events held concurrently included Intelligent manufacturing set off - A Salon of Study on the Trend of Intelligent Manufacturing and Industrial Automation in China, MM·Intelligence Automation Industrial Application Seminar, 2017 International Symposium on Advanced Intelligent Manufacturing Technology--Intelligence promotes industry upgrading, robot changes industrial manufacturing and the Sixth Industrial Control System Information Security Summit 2017, altogether sharing the innovative results and promoting the industrial exchange in different application areas.
Positive Feedback from Regular and New Exhibitors
During the show, a lot of positive feedback was received from new exhibitors. Mr. Jimmy Chang, Account Manager of Beckhoff Automation (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. expressed his satisfaction towards the show, “It’s the first time that we take participate in Industrial Automation Beijing as the exhibitor. We are quite satisfied with the visitor number and we are looking forward to seeing more professional clients in the future.”
Except new exhibitors, many regular exhibitors also made their remarks. Mr. Tiger Guo, Event Manager of Marketing & Product Management of Turck (Tianjin) Sensor Co., Ltd. said, “We have been the loyal exhibitor of Industrial Automation Beijing for many years. During this year’s show, a lot of professional visitors came to our booth for inquiry and we got special attentions from the government.” Mr. Jiang Tao, Sales Manager of Northern China Area of Pilz also expressed his satisfaction, “Except the high-volume visitors, this year’s show launched Application Park, where we can give speeches for visitors to get known of our products.”
